In the middle of Genoa’s historic center, just a short walk from the Aquarium, there is still a real trattoria where you can eat typical Genoese dishes at popular prices.
Cavour modo21 is famous for its pesto and excellent value for money. To come and eat you can either show up directly at the trattoria (we are located at Piazza Cavour 21r) or book ahead, via WhatsApp.
You can show up directly at the trattoria, but if you want to be sure of being able to eat our famous trofie al pesto… you should book in advance.
The trattoria is open every day, both for lunch and dinner.
To make a reservation, you must choose a time to start the meal from the list below.
Weekdays: 12.00 – 13.00 – 14.00
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 12.00 – 13.30
Every day: 19.00 – 21.15
Reservations are only accepted via WhatsApp message.
Requests are handled in order of arrival, within 24 hours.
If you have sent the message too close to the desired time slot and have not received a response, you can still come to the restaurant and be put on the non-booked list, we always reserve free tables.
The reservation is only valid when you receive confirmation on WhatsApp.
Of course!!! With reservations you are more certain but we also reserve tables for those who have not made reservations.
We are still an old-fashioned trattoria and entry is open.
If when you arrive at Cavour modo21 all the tables are occupied we will notify you of waiting times, subject to availability.

Our Genoese trattoria Cavour modo21 is located in Piazza Cavour 21r, right in front of the Porto Antico and a hundred metres walk from the Aquarium of Genoa.
An area very well served by public transport. The San Giorgio metro station is a short walk from Piazza Cavour and is connected to the two railway stations of Brignole and Principe. So even if you are just passing through you can easily visit us!
